Celebrating its 23rd edition in 2026, Pesta Benak Sri Aman showcases one of the world’s rarest natural wonders: the Batang Lupar tidal bore. This unique festival highlights waves that surge upstream at speeds of up to 18 km/h, passing directly through Simanggang Town. As one of only 60 such phenomena globally, the “Benak” has transformed Simanggang into Malaysia’s official Tidal Bore Town, making it a must-visit destination for adventure and nature lovers.
